Amidst the globally aging population, individuals in microcosms narrate subjective encounters with the transitional process of body, mind, and spirit. Growing diverse communities and life-experiences challenge established discourses through counter-hegemonic narratives. The two-day international symposium explores divergent experiences, disparate communities, multifaceted aspects of care, and differing ways and means of autonomous aging. Day One (Oct. 5, 08:30–17:15 JST) highlights aging in various international regions. Day Two (Oct. 6, 08:30–18:30 JST) focuses on Japan.
